• Huge Ichiba Japanese food hall opens in Westfield London

  There’ll be space for 200 to dine in at Ichiba, the enormous new Japanese food hall that’s springing up as part of Westfield’s regeneration. It’ll be providing hefty amounts of traditional Japanese cuisine, plus sakes, baked foods, ingredients to take home and cooking demos.

  There's a battle of the pizzas heading for Harrods - pitting the Neapolitan ‘pizza’ against the Ligurian ‘pissa’. Taking place in the department store's Pizzeria & Canti Prosecco Bar it'll see Harrods’ senior head chef Giuseppe Silvestri and a less familiar ‘pissa’ from Matteo Riganelli, guest chef Giuseppe Silvestri putting his pizza up for competition with a ‘pissa’ from Matteo Riganelli of London steak chain Macellaio RC.

  If you’re having a crack at Veganuary, but haven’t yet discovered the wonder of nut butters, step right up to Selfridge’s where Pip & Nut are now running a pop up bar in the Foodhall.

  If you’re an intrepid cocktail explorer keen to hunt down the next big thing or the freshest flavour combos, you’re in luck - The Fount has just opened in Selfridges, and the menu is wild.
