Where to drink Beaujolais Nouveau in London this year

If you're a wine buff who loves the thrill of the new then heading out in London on Beaujolais Nouveau night is the perfect pairing for you. Be the first to try the fruits of the latest harvest with various events, wine tastings and parties going on around town for it. All of these events are happening on the day itself - 21 November  2024 - unless otherwise stated.

Patron Restaurant in Kentish Town is always a good spot to go for the annual Beaujolais night. They have a special set menu of regional dishes, paired with a selection of Burgundy wines so think Escargot de Bourgogne paired with the 2024 vintage and short rib beef bourguignon served with a 2018 Fleurie.

Hackney's SESTA is putting on a special Boeuf Bourguignon cheese burger to be enjoyed alongside Séléné 2024 Primeur from by biodynamic producer Sylvère Trichard. The burger's made with aged beef mince with smoked ox cheek and bacon bourguignon - slow-cooked in Beaujolais Nouveau.

Toklas Bakery celebrates this year's harvest by serving the wine with a £25 wine fight showcasing three producers they work with all year round. The restaurants's chefs are helping by serving a selection of Lyonnaise small plates - from pate en croute to cassoulet, and madeleines

The Plimsoll in Finsbury Park is putting on a one-night-only menu of regional French classics with a Plimsoll touch including Panisse and Salted Ricotta, Steak haché and Creme caramel. They'll be serving those with gamay from Domain Lapalu, Selene and Château Cambon.

At Pophams, the plan is to serve up a special £22 pasta and wine deal to mark the first harvest of the season. This year that will be Game Ragu with hand-shaped maccheroni al ferretto, paired with a glass of Beaujolais.

Provisions are doing tastings at both their delis on the day and serving it up at their residency Topa all weekend.

Parisian-inspired bistro, Henri, have said they'll be cracking open magnums of Christophe Pacalet 2024 on the night. To go with the £11 glasses of wine the restaurant's chef Jackson Boxer will be serving up black truffle and Saint Nectaire croques from 5pm.

La Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels in Neal's Yard will be celebrating Beaujolais Nouveau from 21-24 November. You can expect an evening of magnums being cracked open with dishes to accompany them including St Marcellin on Rosti and crab quenelles.

Indie wine bar Top Cuvee is putting on a special Beaujolais happy hour in both its Shoreditch and Highbury wine bars. It'll be a two-for-one offering all day.

Floating Canary Wharf restaurant Marceline is throwing a French-inspired Bojo Novo Party. Taking over the restaurant's Salon bar, guests can enjoy a Steak French Dip sandwich and glass of Beaujolais Nouveau for just £10.
