It really seems like a LOT of London restaurants are doing something special for Jubilee weekend. We've gone through everything and picked out some of the best events, dishes and other specials happening over the extended bank holiday. Plan your four-day weekend here...
Multiple locations
Hummingbird Bakery have lots of new special cakes for the occasion, including a Vanilla & Raspberry Jubilee Cake and a Jubilee Chocolate Biscuit Cake. Full disclosure - they sent us some of these to try out and we can strongly recommend them.
Byron - Their special Jubilee burger is the Elizabeefan - with a Aberdeen Angus 6oz beef patty, topped with pulled beef brisket, Red Leicester cheese, watercress, pickled red onions and finished with British horseradish mayo. They've also put on an Eton Mess shake for the occasion.
KFC (30 May - 5 June 2022) - KFC's special Jubilee burger is a Coronation Chicken Tower Burger with breast fillet, cheese, lettuce, a hash brown and their brand-new creamy coronation mayo.
Gloria, Circolo Popolare, Ave Mario (30 May - 5 June) - All the Big Mamma restaurants are adding the Elizabeth Regina II Pizza to the menu. It's topped with mushrooms, prosciutto crudo straight from Parma, mozzarella fior di latte, rocket, parmigiano and the crowning glory, a cheesy creamy cacio e pepe sauce. And if you order it, they'll also give you a crown or tiara to wear.
Hache (1 June - 31 August) also has a Coronation Chicken Burger. The chicken is double dipped in Greek yoghurt and masala spices, tossed in curried flour and tandoori masala coating before being fried and topped with a classic coronation sauce.
Brother Marcus (Angel, Spitalfields, Borough, 2-5 June) - For the weekend, they're serving a huge ostrich egg and soldiers all weekend (each weighing nearly 2kg each). You'll need to pre-order and each costs £75 (feeding four) but if you like your eggs and soldiers, it's worth thinking about...
Homeslice (30 May - 5 June) - All Homeslices will have the new special pizza that's made up of confit duck leg with coronation ricotta, cornish yarg, mango pickled cucumber & apple, date & lemon granola.
Laduree (Covent Garden, The City, St Pancras, Knightsbridge, Mayfair) - In honour of the Jubilee Laduree have several macaron options on offer including a platinum jubilee box featuring 6 Jubilee personalised macarons, 6 raspberry and 6 blue Marie-Antoinette Tea flavours. A very Entente Cordiale offering for the royal festivities.

Seven Dials Market (Covent Garden, 2-4 June) - Alongside cooking competitions and exclusive cocktails, Seven Dials will also have crown decoration, balloon artists and face painting in the weekend. All of the vendors will be serving up Jubilee specials and you'll be able to vote for your favourites. And yes, they'll have the bunting up.
The Great Piazza Party (Covent Garden, 1-5 June) - Runs all weekend, features a pop-up Aperol bar and the best of British foods from Feast It street food vendors.
The Hoxton (Southwark & Holborn, 2 June only) - They've teamed up with Lily Vanilli who will be creating a giant celebration cake inspired by the official Jubilee pudding, the Lemon Swiss roll and amaretti trifle. It will be available by the slice in Albie or Rondo restaurants and the proceeds are going to Choose Love’s Ukraine Crisis campaign.
The Goring (Belgravia) - Obviously The Goring has something planned for the Jubilee. In addition to a special afternoon tea (featuring The Queen’s favourite fruit cake) they're also bringing back dishes that were served during the coronation. So you can see how they've reinvented dishes like Cornet de Saumon Fumé and Parfait aux Fraises Windsor.
Claridge's (Mayfair) - The hotel will be displaying archival pieces from the hotel from the coronation era, like the original menus and cocktail cards served at Claridge’s on Coronation Day 1953. As for the bar, that will have two new cocktails - the Royal Stag with whisky notes, nodding to the Queen’s love of the Scottish Highlands, and the Windsor Rose, which was originally served at Claridge’s on the Queen’s Coronation Day in 1953.
Vinegar Yard (London Bridge, 2-5 June) - They're teaming up with East London bakery The Proof for a four-day Jubilee party featuring a dessert stall laden with exclusive Jubilee puddings, including the Union Jack shag cake - a chocolate sponge layer cake decorated a Union Jack shag pile icing. They'll also have special Jubilee cocktails all weekend long.
Japan Centre (Leicester Square, 2-5 June) - All weekend, they'll have Union Jack Mochi Donuts combine buttery donut batter with a fun, chewy mochi rice cake infusion, all decorated like a Union Jack, of course.
Polo Bar (Liverpool Street, 2 June) - They'll have a royal breakfast for 70p for the first people through the door from 8am. If that's a little too early for you, they also have Jubilee Pancakes all weekend, which along with layers of fresh cream, strawberries and homemade strawberry coulis, also have a slice of Victoria sponge - because, why not?
Four Seasons Park Lane (5 June) - The hotel will have new special guests, corgis Lily and Price who starred in The Crown. They'll be in the forecourt on the day and for the rest of summer the hotel will have a royal themed afternoon tea, with special Jubilee macarons and a royal wedding fruitcake.
Amazing Grace (London Bridge) have a slightly mad cocktail on offer. The Lizzie Royale is a blend of classic Earl Grey Tea with a hint of tequila - and is then topped with mini scones, berries and cream - essentially a cocktail and afternoon tea in one.
Ivy Tower Bridge (2-4 June) - In addition to remaking a classic dessert, The Ivy’s Chocolate Bombe, and adding an edible crown on top, The Ivy will also have "Queen’s Guards" standing to attention at the entrance to the restaurant if you fancy some selfies.
Bar Des Pres (Mayfair, 2-12 June) - Cyril Lignac’s restaurant has created a new take on Eton Mess for the occasion - a crispy meringue with vanilla cream, strawberry sorbet, and fresh strawberries and presented unlike any Eton Mess we've ever tried to create.
Korean Dinner Party has gone for a regal take on their popular corn dogs - half hotdog, half melted mozzarella, and topped with ketchup and mustard. It's then sprayed in gold, decorated with gold pearls and glitter, and served with a crown.
Belgravia Traders Association Street Party on Elizabeth Street will feature long tables for dining down the street serving up lobster rolls, Coronation chicken and summer salads. Coates & Seely will serve English fizz from a 1948 Leyland bus and the Ganymede will operate an alfresco bar for the day.

North London
Max's Sandwich Shop (Crouch Hill, 5 June) - It seems fitting that Max would create a Coronation Chicken Sandwich for the weekend. He's teamed up with Hellmanns for this and it's based on the “Poulet Reine Elizabeth” recipe served at the Queen’s Coronation in 1953. His version features chicken, Hellmann’s Real Mayo, punchy pickled onions, sweet mango chutney and topped with crunchy Bombay mix, all topped and bottomed with his focaccia. There will be 100 of them given away for free from 11am – 3pm on Sunday 5 June.
The Farrier (Camden, 2-5 June) has a special dessert on the menu, Textures of Cream Tea, which combines a strawberry crumb and earl grey syrup, with a clotted cream panna cotta (yes, it's afternoon tea reimagined as a dessert).

From 2- 5 June their space is being turned into a recreation of The Mall complete with real tres lining it and a huge projection of Buckingham Palace.
