South East London caffeine addicts now have a new place to hit up in their neighbourhood. For the past few years Elsewhere Coffee have been roasting beans just behind Deptford station. Now they're about to open the space out to the general public as a coffee bar.
The group already have two cafe/brunch spots close by, in Herne Hill and Brockley, but this will be the first place where you can drink your coffee in the same place it's actually roasted. And if you're seriously into your coffee then you can also take part in training sessions to make sure your home brewed coffee is as good as it can be.
The new coffee bar, which can be found just beside Deptford Market Yard, will be open during the week serving espresso-based drinks and a choice of around seven single origin filter brews. If you're feeling adventurous spin the mystery wheel to choose a coffee at random from the full range of different beans, sourced from all over the world.
