A particularly interesting series of collabs is happening at Side Hustle, the bar inside the NoMad London hotel in Covent Garden. They've picked three decidedly big names to produce special tacos for the next three months. Each of the names has worked with NoMad's team to design the tacos which will be available all month.
Kicking things off on 1 May will be Brat and Mountain's Tomos Parry, so if you want to know what a taco from the Michelin-starred chef is like, you'll want to get into that. Details of his taco will be released on the day, but we're told it will be "a veggie option that utilises one of the UK’s finest seasonal vegetables, asparagus".
Next up, we have to admit, is the most interesting - actor Will Poulter's taco, which starts on 5 June. Again, details are being kept a little quiet at this point but we're told it will be "a taco inspired by the newest chapter of everyone’s favourite fictional chef series". So if you want a taco that's actually been created by one of the chefs on The Bear, this is about as close as you're ever going to get. The new series is likely to be released around this time, so a taco by "Chef Luca" should be just what you need to get into the mindset.
Finally, finishing up the series is top bartender and one of the duo behind Tayer + Elementary, Monica Berg. Her taco will be in place from 7 July. Proceeds from the sales from the tacos go to City Harvest, a charity focused on food waste and delivering it to people in need.
