Not wanting to be left out of the general London obsession with noodles, super luxe hotel The Peninsula London is getting in on the trend. They've just opened up a noodle bar that serves up a tight menu of noodle dishes alongside Gweilo beers from Hong Kong and the bar's own cocktail list.
The chefs behind the menu are the multi-award-winning Hou Yurui who has worked on the concept with Jonnie Liang, Executive Sous Chef from The Peninsula Beijing.
Their launch menu features:
- Dan Dan Noodles with minced beef and Sichuan chilli oil
- Zha Jiang Mian with diced pork belly in a yellow bean sauce
- Aubergine Noodles with star anise and Sichuan pepper
- Prawn E-Fu Noodles with ginger and spring onion
And if you really want to signal that you know what you're doing, there's also a secret dish that doesn't appear on the menu. You just have to know to ask for the Peking duck noodle bowl. Beer and noodle combos start at just £20 which isn't at all bad for this part of Belgravia.
