Rudy's Neapolitan Pizza heads down south to open in Soho

Rudy's Neapolitan Pizza heads down south to open in Soho

Updated 25/5/21 with opening date and soft launch offer

As things open up again, it's time for another new London pizzeria, but this one has had success elsewhere first. Rudy's Neapolitan Pizza has been mainly serving pizzas in the north - in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and Birmingham and they've been very popular there. But they've now headed south, straight into Soho, taking over the former Wahaca site on Wardour Street.

As for the details of the pizzas themselves - they're made fresh daily from 24-hour fermented dough with ingredients imported twice weekly from Naples. The kind of pizzas on offer will include the usual Marinara and Margherita alongside:

  • Tatantina - Tomato, fior di latte, anchovies, capers, kalamata olives, oregano, basil and e.v olive oil
  • Salsiccia Del Nonno - White pizza. Chilli flakes, fior di latte, smoked mozzarella, ground fennel sausage, caramelised red onion, parmesan, basil, E.V. olive oil
  • Romagnola - San Marzano tomato, fior di latte, parmesan, emilia romagna aged prosciutto, rocket, parmesan shavings, E.V. olive oil
  • Carni - Tomato, fior di latte, parmesan, salame napoli, salame picante, salame finnocchiona, wild boar salame, basil and e.v olive oil

Will they have what it takes to run with London's best? We'll have to see...
