Arma arrives in Soho with authentic Middle-Eastern shawarma

Arma arrives in Soho with authentic Middle-Eastern shwarma

What: Arma

In a nutshell: Shwarma in Soho

Summing it all up: Proper Middle-Eastern-inspired shawarma arrives in Soho thanks to this new restaurant.

The low-down

New shawarma is coming to Soho, thanks to Arma which is taking over the former Oliver Maki site.

Coming from owners  Reda Benmiloud and Sultan Al-Kabeer, they're aiming to bring real, authentic shawarma to Soho - with the choice of beef, chicken, or falafel.

It's all made fresh daily -  with the beef and chicken marinated in herbs and spices overnight before being placed on that vertical spit. And, of course, together with that will be fresh lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, red onions, pickled cucumbers, fresh herb dressing and garlic sauce - all wrapped in a traditional flatbread (or in a salad bowl).

As for sides, they're hummus, tabbouleh, spinach salad, fries loaded with chicken or beef with chilli sauce - and Middle Eastern date cake for dessert. It's both takeaway (downstairs) or eat-in (with more booths and tables upstairs).
