Congrats to Gymkhana which last night became the first ever Indian restaurant to win National Restaurant of the Year award. The Mayfair restaurant topped the list at the annual awards held by Restaurant Magazine. "Chef Karam Sethi’s no-punches-pulled cooking is gutsy and imaginative," said the magazine's editor Stefan Chomka, "with the ability to surprise and delight. Gymkhana is a much deserving winner of this year’s award.”
London did pretty darned well with 56 establishments in the top 100 and 7 out of the top 10.
