Greek hotel group Ergon House are opening a hotel and rooftop restaurant in Covent Garden

The Greek Ergon House is opening a boutique hotel and rooftop restaurant in Covent Garden

Lots of big developments are happening around Covent Garden at the moment. Later on this year, we should be getting the new Guinness Storehouse and now, here comes news about a big new hotel coming to the area.

That will be the London outpost of Greek boutique hotel group ERGON House, taking over a refurbished listed building on King Street (where the Covent Garden Carluccio's used to be). And with the hotel comes a big restaurant (over 2000 sq ft), which will take the rooftop space. It'll also be adding a terrace up there - making it one of the few rooftop alfresco spaces in the area.

As for the food, it'll be Mediterranean-inspired, but that's all they're revealing right now. That's not all on the food front though, as they're also planning a bakery, butchers, fishmongers and greengrocer all as part of a ground-floor Agora marketplace.

It's early days on this one, so we'll bring you much more information as we get closer to the opening date.
