Park Row closes the doors on its Gotham City-inspired restaurant

park row restaurant closes

It's fair to say that the critics weren't fans of the Batman-themed restaurant, Park Row, which opened in 2021 taking over a huge subterranean space in Soho (which was Mash before this). So there probably won't be too many tears shed among their ranks to learn today that the restaurant has closed its doors.

The restaurant's closure follows a letter sent out to creditors last month of their decision which said; "the business has taken the difficult decision to sell and assign our lease to a new operator and close the doors of Park Row." And this weekend the restaurant stopped taking bookings and was declared 'permanently closed'.

It was only back in November that the restaurant announced it had pivoted into a Japanese dining space, calling itself The Iceberg Lounge. But clearly, that change wasn't enough to keep the lights on.

We'll admit we rather enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant's cutting-edge immersive experience, The Monarch Theatre. However, the failure of Park Row does suggest that this is a difficult space for a restaurant to operate successfully.
