London's best food shops making home deliveries

Whether you're avoiding the supermarket scrums or self-isolating, we've gathered together some of the best grocery stores in and around London making home deliveries.

Bin B Q

Independent Chinese retailer Bin Bin Q Supermarket (it's owned by the people behind Murger Han) stock a wide range of Asian items at their Euston store which you can also purchase online. There are cooking ingredients, dried ingredients, fresh vegetables, ready-made goods, frozen items, snacks and drinks.

Borough Market

There are loads of market stallholders signed up to their online delivery service. So, in one virtual shopping basket, you could include Pieminster pies, Neals Yard cheeses, jamon from Brindisa and bottles of beer from The Globe Tavern.

Daylesford

The Cotswold's fanciest organic food shop also has a number of shops in London, but if you're not near one of those (Brompton Cross, Pimlico, Marylebone and Notting Hill) they still offer a delivery service. Everything from cheese from their own dairy to meat from their farm and award-winning rose from their vineyards in Provence is available.

Delivery: If you live near their shops they have their own delivery service, or you can order via Deliveroo. But they also do UK mainland delivery from their online shop.

Gladwin Brothers

While their restaurants were closed, the brothers switched to farm boxes to support their suppliers as well as their own farm. There's a range of boxes with all manner of seasonal veg, meat and ready to eat 'fakeaway' dishes. Or you could just order a whole truffled Tunworth and a bottle of wine from the family's Nutbourne vineyard.

Le Marche des Chefs

Everyone from Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester to Hide use these guys - Nieves Barragan from Sabor calls founder Maurice “one of the best fresh suppliers I’ve ever met.” Weekly hamper selections include super seasonal veg and they have a Himalayan salt ageing room to age their meat.

If you love all things Mexican then this online retailer, which supplies London restaurants like Corazon and Santo Remedio, is the place for you. It exclusively stocks Fairtrade and traceable Mexican produce. Their new starter kit, the Best of MexGrocer, features all the cupboard essentials for a Mexican pantry or you can simply stock up on items like cactus leaves and amazing Mezcal.

This luxury Somerset hotel has its own country estate which helps supply their online grocery service. You can order food from the gardens, estate kitchens, bakery, butchery and creamery, as well as from their own cyder press. There's fruit and vegetables grown in Kent; bakery goods from Paul Rhodes Bakery and great meat supplied by James George, the co-founder of Turner & George. Before the crisis, the only ones who could get their hands on all of Natoora’s gorgeous fruit & veg were in the hospitality trade. Now, they’ve opened it out to all Londoners and introduced a new app to help with that. Here you’ll find everything from cultured butter from the Estate Dairy to cold-pressed rapeseed oil from Hertfordshire and Cornish salad leaves.
