French-born cheese and wine connoisseur Geoffrey Nivard has been running cheese and wine tastings in Stockwell for years. Now he's offering weekly drops of cheese (free within zones 1-3) with a regularly changing selection of artisan cheeses and charcuterie.

Cheeses of Muswell Hill
Where: 13 Fortis Green Rd, Muswell Hill, London N10 3HP
This diminutive shop on Fortis Green Road is run by local Morgan McGlynn, who took the place over straight out of college. Such is the devotion of its fans, they won the best shop in London in Time Out's Love London Awards a few years ago. Their Uber Eats shop selection features a range that covers the UK and Europe and also sells biscuits and wine to accompany whatever you go for.

The Cheese Bar
Where: Hackney & various
The Cheese Bar have a restaurant in Camden as well as their instant-hit conveyor belt restaurant in Covent Garden and even a shop in Hackney called Funk. They're delivering cheese boxes, ready-made cheese boards as well as a DIY fondue kit.

Froth and Rind

The East London Cheese Board started life as a market stall run by two mates Mark and Fraser. They moved into bricks and mortar with their Froth & Rind shop in Walthamstow, combining their two great loves of beer and cheese. The focus is on British cheese and while they stock all the big names, they're also keen on getting the smaller cheesemakers into London homes.

La Fromagerie
Where: Marylebone, Highbury
Owner Patricia Michelson opened her first London cheese shop in Highbury in the early nineties. Now one of the leading women on London’s food scene, she runs three stores - in Highbury, Marylebone and Bloomsbury - all selling farmhouse and artisanal cheeses from across Europe. You can put together your own box, or opt for one of La Fromagerie’s prepared cheeseboards, including those celebrating female cheesemakers and French classics.

Latteria
Where: Acton
Fresh mozzarella is one of life’s great joys but to really enjoy it fresh you either have to go to Italy (that's not happening any time soon) or have the stuff flown in. To save on air miles, opt instead to shop at this Acton-based London cheesemaker. They use British milk to make Italian-style cheese like their classic Fior di Latte mozzarella-style cheese. They deliver to mostly west, north-west and south-west London postcodes.

London Cheesemongers

Inspired by a love of Gruyere, founder Jared Wybrow built up his business from a stall selling just that to his shop in Chelsea's Pavilion Road. Now he has 30 cheeses on offer - a selection that changes all the time. If you live within three miles of the store they'll deliver eggs, milk, baguettes and wine as well as all the cheese they sell.

Mons Cheesemongers

Mons Cheese is a 100% family affair, having been started by dad Hubert in the 60s and with sons Laurent and Herve now in charge. They mature their cheese in their own disused railway tunnel in France before bringing it to Bermondsey. They have a cheese subscription box too, if you want a regular supply.

Neal’s Yard

Brothers Franck and Yann Le Blais started their cheese business 20 years ago selling their wares at markets across London. Hugo and Ben are the blokes responsible for this Holloway Road cheese shop has the most amazing selection of cheese from France, Italy and Spain. An industrial estate in Tottenham may not be the most bucolic of cheese making locations, but that makes what they produce here 100% London cheese.
