If you've been wandering around Soho over the past week or so, you may have wondered what's been drawing crowds down Old Compton Street. Well, we're here to tell you about London's new white hot noodle spot, Noodle Inn.
It's the latest opening from Alex Xu the restaurateur behind Kung-Fu Noodle in Chinatown. And if you like a bit of kitchen theatre when you go out to eat, then this new spot couldn't be beaten with chefs creating the noodles right in front of you.
The original restaurant specialises in dishes from the North West Chinese province of Gansu. But the new Noodle Inn will also have plenty of dishes that are unique from wide noodles, pan fried noodle dishes and cold noodle options. You should also try their crispy fresh dumplings. As they explain "we returned to China to immerse ourselves in the authentic flavours, ingredients, and unique cuts of meat that truly define traditional Chinese noodles. From the open kitchen concept to the way the dough is made and the spices we use, we’ve done our very best to recreate that experience here in Soho, London."
It's been a busy old time for Xu and his team. They've only recently opened up Kung Fu Burger on Shaftesbury Avenue serving up tongguan roujamo sandwiches - a Shaanxi Province speciality with fillings including braised pork and shredded duck with hoisin sauce.
