  They already have three restaurants in central London, but Din Tai Fung are heading east for their fourth opening, to Canary Wharf. The restaurant group best known for its perfectly pleated xiao long bao will be up and running in Crossrail Place early next year.

• Royal China on Baker Street loses its licence after multiple immigration raids

  Following a hearing, Royal China has now lost its licence. This means that while the restaurant can remain open and serve food, it can no longer serve alcohol or open beyond 11pm. What this means for the future of the restaurant remains to be seen. Only the Baker Street branch has been affected.
