Information we’ve just received via the Bat-Signal is that DC Comics-inspired restaurant Park Row has recruited a new Executive Chef: Alyn Williams.
Having trained under chefs Marcus Wareing and Gordon Ramsay, Williams rose to fame with his eponymous restaurant Alyn Williams at The Westbury in Mayfair in 2011, which received a Michelin star less than a year after its opening. He was also named National Chef of the Year in 2012.
Suffice to say, Wonderland Restaurants, which is responsible for the immersive experiences at Park Row, are thrilled with the coup. Williams will work alongside Karl O’Dell (formerly of Michelin-starred Texture) who is Executive Chef of The Monarch Theatre, also set within the Grade-II-listed Art Deco complex that includes a Rogues Gallery, an Old Gotham City space, and a Pennyworth’s bar that’s an ode to Bruce Wayne’s butler, among other Batman-themed eccentricities.
We are intrigued as to how chef Williams will interplay the theatrical DC comics theme with his creations, but the new menu will include the likes of:
- Rabbit, smoked chicken terrine, tarragon and confit rabbit samosa
- Cornish stone bass, crispy caviar and chive butter.
Crime knows no bounds and justice never sleeps in this fair city, but regardless of whether your superhero fantasies will be fulfilled at Park Row, you can at least indulge in a menu from seriously stellar chefs.
