Sunny weather got you planning your summer escape from London? Well, there's a new restaurant in Cornwall's foodie capital, Padstow, that you might want to try.
While a lot of cookery schools fall foul of current social distancing rules, the team at Rick Stein's have cunningly transformed their quayside school into a pop-up restaurant for the summer. Stein's On The Quay, as the name suggests, sits practically in Padstow harbour. The menu, devised by Rick's son Jack, is - as you might expect - all about the freshest of seafood.
Dishes will include:
- Porthilly oysters, served with Hog Island dressing or traditional shallot vinegar
- Cornish crab wakame with cucumber salad and wasabi mayonnaise
- Lobster thermidor
- Moules frites
Jack's brother Charlie Stein is behind the wine list and says; "If I were on holiday in Padstow, this is exactly what I would want to eat overlooking the estuary, with a good glass of wine in hand.” That's us sold.
