What: St. JOHN Bakery
In a nutshell: Famous bakery expands to Borough High Street
Summing it all up: St John are bringing their famous doughnuts and madeleines to the Fora workspace spot in Borough
The low-down
Fora on Borough High Street already has the rather lovely Scandi restaurant Borealis on site, but from September workers and residents will also be able to enjoy the baked goods of St.JOHN.
Fergus Henderson confirmed the bakery's opening in his own inimitable style, saying: "“Doughnuts are essential fuel in the mornings, wine is vital in the evenings. Rejoice! St. JOHN will keep Borough going all day long.”
Handily located close to its bread ovens in the arches at Bermondsey, the bakery here will get twice-daily deliveries of their famous doughnuts, plus there'll be breakfast viennoiserie and Cinnamon Rum Buns along with their super breads. They'll also be selling St JOHN wine on site and will be curating special wine events for Fora Residents.
