What: Platter
In a nutshell: Little bites to eat in or takeaway in Kensington
Summing it all up: Whether you’re two people heading to the Hyde Park, or a bigger group eating in, catering firm Platter are setting up a permanent spot in Knightsbridge to suit.
The low-down
Yet another catering company is laying down roots in London - this time it’s Platter, who’ll be setting up a cafe in the ritzy surroundings of Kensington. They’ll be remaining faithful to their original operation by serving up platters of snacks and sweets, available in a range of sizes and combos, to eat in or takeaway - most handy, given the shop’s proximity to Hyde Park.
If you’re one or two people, a Mini Platter will cover you, or you can go bigger with a Platter Box or a Picnic Platter, custom built for eating outdoors. There’ll be sweet and savoury options to choose from, plus Allpress coffee, iced drinks and fresh pastries.
We’re yet to see any firm details of what will be included in the aforementioned platters, but based on their catering-sized counterparts (visible on their rather nice Instagram feed) we’re anticipating artfully constructed dishes of fresh fruit, sandwiches, cheese and sweet treats.
