Hang onto your handlebars, there’s a cycle-through bakery coming to Shoreditch this weekend only. And it’s free!
Whether you’re a bicycle owner or nay, this pastry-focused pop-up is coming to you courtesy of Lime Bikes (yes, they want to call it a ‘Lime-thru Bakery’), so in addition to free pastries and coffee, you’ll get a complimentary 15-minute ride on a Lime bike.
The Lime theme doesn’t stop there. The limited-edition pastries will be lime flavoured, but best of all, they’re coming to you from acclaimed bakery Pophams via a service hatch at Protein Studios. While you’re sipping on your cup of artisan Notion Coffee, you can also enjoy meme-friendly artwork by the Real Housewives of Clapton.
But back to the pastry: Pophams’ one-off flaky creation will feature lime curd, white chocolate cremeux and coconut sponge, topped with an Italian meringue swirl and a dusting of matcha. Yes, you can save this for your Instagram caption.
Don’t want to use a Lime bike? Or don’t want to ride-through to collect? No drama, there’ll be a custom-built Lime bike coffee bar to perch at (if you’re quick to get a seat; did we mention it’s free?) or on one of the sofas or armchairs inside the bakery. But you will need to access the Lime app to get your complimentary Pophams pastry: download and register beforehand.
And, we’ll also say this again: get there early, because these precious pastries are on a first-come, first-served basis.
