New York Italian The Dover comes to Mayfair

New York Italian The Dover comes to Mayfair

A new restaurant has quietly opened in Mayfair, sneaking in before the end of the year. The Dover has taken over the space that was Moncks of Mayfair, which itself closed at the onset of the pandemic back in 2020 (after less than a year in business).

As for this new opening - well, we don't know much at all. It's being billed as a "New York Italian restaurant and bar" with former Soho House Chief Operating Officer Martin Kuczmarski behind it. The menu features dishes like:

  • Zucchini & asparagus fritti with lemon, aioli and jalapeño)
  • Crispy potato cakes with caviar
  • Haas avocado carpaccio tart with vesuvian tomato and lime
  • Lobster ravioli with yellow datterini & basil sauce
  • Beef arrosto & mash - thinly sliced roasted beef, house mash, red wine sauce

Early reviews on Google seem positive, so we'll let you know more about this one as we get it.
