If you've been wondering what was going to take the place of the old site of St Clair in Clapham, wonder no more - it's going to be the latest opening by Lina Stores.
This outpost is being billed as a neighbourhood restaurant, so you're not going to get the deli add-on that some of the other Lina Stores have. Instead, it's an Italian restaurant spread across two floors, with a long counter dining section on the ground floor and a bar in the basement. As ever, their fresh pasta dishes are at the heart of the menu. They'll also be featuring dishes like:
- Montanara, lardo & tomato
- Ricotta gnudi, aubergine, san marzano tomato & ‘nduja
- Spaghetti alla chitarra, grilled squid, chilli & agretti.
- Caramel gelato bignè with salted caramel & chocolate
Drinks-wise, there will be an Italian wine list, with a focus on organic and biodynamic wines. They'll also be serving breakfast at this outpost (from Friday to Sunday) where you'll be able to settle down with dishes like slow-roasted porchetta and salsa verde panino.
