We've seen Amazon take on the high street with its Amazon Fresh shops, and now Deliveroo is giving it a go too.
They've just opened their first real shop on New Oxford Street called Deliveroo Hop, something they've put together with the help of Morrisons. So, like Amazon Fresh before it (but without the automatic paying), it'll be primarily a grocery store, with a focus on the Morrisons Ready to Eat and The Best lines.
In practice, it seems to have a little more in common with the average Argos shop (which makes you wonder why Sainsbury's hasn't tried this) in that you can order everything on a digital kiosk and they'll pack it all up for you. And you can, of course, order by the app too (for collection or delivery).
So, they're not doing hot food and restaurants yet - but we do have to wonder if this is in the game plan for the future.
