He's had success at Arcade with Plaza Khao Gaeng and now chef Luke Farrell is getting ready to open a standalone restaurant - Speedboat Bar.
Taking over the space that used to be Xu, the Thai restaurant is being described as a love letter to Yaowarat Road, the neon-lit street of Bangkok’s Chinatown." It will focus on wok cooking, using Thai ingredients and herbs from Farrell's own nursery in Ryewater.
Planned for the menu will be:
- Lychees and roasted duck
- Soya chicken and winter melon
- Their signature dish, Tom Yam Mama soup.
- And one dessert: Candied pineapple and butter pie
As for drinks, they'll include a Snakesblood Negroni and Jelly Bia made with frozen Leo Lager.
