A look at the original Theatre Cafe

Like a bit of singing and dancing with your meal? Then the Theatre Cafe Diner could be just the thing.
It's a sibling restaurant to the Theatre Cafe, the memorabilia-adorned cafe on St Martin's Lane. That had quite a few singing sessions itself, but this new diner is going to make much more of a song and dance about it. They're promising "a highly trained singing waiting team", so yes, you are going to get a lot of show tunes here.
The diner will be a lot bigger than the original cafe, across two floors of a building on the upper end of Shaftesbury Avenue and as for the food and drink, we're told to expect classic diner fare. And on top of the singing waiters, they'll also have the odd star performance and "musical brunches" too.
