As new food hub Borough Yards gets ready to open, details have been trickling in about what to expect from the various bars and restaurants opening there. Now we're hearing about the Vinoteca that will launch there with what sounds like a striking design.
The two-storey wine bar, shop and restaurant will feature a ground floor zinc-topped bar, perfect for pulling up a stool at, while the bifold doors are going to be great for warmer days opening up onto Borough Yards itself. Upstairs, the mezzanine floor is going to boast views clear across to Southwark Cathedral.
The wine list itself is going to focus on small sustainable producers and, as you might expect, the food menu will make the most of the producers that the bar will have on its doorstep in Borough Market.
“We hope to create a place that feels like it has been a part of the fabric of Borough for years," says co-founder Charlie Young.
