There was much consternation earlier this year when the news broke that Soho legendary Italian Vasco and Piero's Pavilion was to shut because of rent issues. But we then learned pretty quickly from an Instagram post that it wasn't a complete goodbye as they were already on the hunt for a new site.
Now the much-loved restaurant have confirmed their return, working with property agency, Shelley Sandzer to grab a new space on D'Arblay Street. They'll be taking over what was once the Soho branch of Ceru (who are still in South Kensington and are coming to Queensway soon).
As before, there will be an Umbrian menu on offer, but obviously the place will have a completely new look, from Panetta Design Architects who were the people behind the Covent Garden Petersham Nursery. We'll get more info on any changes to the menu when we're closer to the opening date.
