We've been watching the development of a property on Islington's St Paul's Road with interest for a few weeks. Mainly because it's at the end of our road on the way to the shops and secondly because it was really shaping up into something food-related. And now we have the answer - Stoke Newington's Yield has opened a second location just off Highbury Corner.
It's taken the place of an electronics shop but which also, back in the day, used to be the Old Curiosity Shop-esque Mr Oza's. We think he'd approve of its latest guise.
"it will be very similar to the N16 model," Ruth from Yield told Hot Dinners, "low-intervention wines, deli, craft beers etc and a wine bar when such things are allowed."
When restrictions allow, there'll be tables at the front of the space and also up towards the back. In the meantime, it'll be selling all manner of lovely wines, cheeses, charcuterie and more.
