Baz & Fred pick Brixton Village for their new London pizzeria

baz and fred brixton village pizza

When none other than top chef Giorgio Locatelli proclaims your takeaway pizza to be worth of five stars in a taste test, then you must be doing something right. So it's good news for Brixton locals that Baz & Fred will be the newest food opening to grace Brixton Village.

The duo, who opened their first place in Flat Iron Square after years working the wedding and festival food circuit, will start off with takeaways of their Italian pizza, served whole or by the slice. They'll be using a takeaway hatch to serve pizza to go or take home.

Pizzas include:

  • Wood-fired aubergine and ricotta
  • Rosary goat's cheese and caramelised onions
  • Chorizo and sobrassada with rosemary honey and fior di latte

When they're allowed to open, there will be room for 18 inside and 26 eating outside at the Brixton space. And, if you like what you try here, bear in mind they also have a countryside Inn where pizza is on the menu. The Stump, which they opened in Cirencester in 2019, recently graced Conde Nast Traveller's list of best hotels in the Cotswolds.
