The much-lauded Hot 4 U land a long-term residency at The Plough in Homerton

This residency has now ended

They kicked off as a delivery-only kitchen near the beginning of Lockdown 1.0 and just as we emerge from Lockdown 2.0, Hot 4 U are getting their own place. They're starting a long-term residency at The Plough in Homerton, so if you're yet to try them, now's your chance. 

If you need catching up, Hot 4 U are Eddy Tejada (ex-St John and Silo) and Matthew Scott (ex-Head Chef of Cub). During the lockdown, they were one of the first people to produce a full meal-kit ready to finish off at home (which sold out every weekend) and since then they've been popping up across town. Zero waste is at the heart of the menu that for the first week includes:

  • Oysters with Green Glitter Sabayon
  • Beef or Mushroom XO Flatbread
  • Chicken Offal Skewer with Smoked Mayo
  • Grilled Salsify, Romesco, and Aged Cheese
  • Halibut Head, Preserved Lemon, and Pepperdulse Tapenade (for two)
  • Panettone tiramisu and buttermilk pannacotta with mulled pears

And there's also something else that sounds very good. They'll always have the special of a "bone marrow whisky luge", A dish of bone marrow comes with a shot of Glasshouse whisky that you use the bone to drink after you're done with the marrow. Not for vegetarians, that one. 

They'll also be doing Sunday lunch, with starters including duck rillettes with bread and pickles or crispy sprouts with stracciatella and sumac while the main event is a choice of garlic butter chicken supreme, porchetta, aged beef sirloin or hay aged celeriac loin.

There's more planned for the future (including BBQ and karaoke) so keep an eye on them for developments.
