Spiritland and an experimental Pastaio come to Joy at Portobello

Spiritland and an experimental Pastaio come to Joy at Portobello

Stevie Parle is about to switch things up a notch in Joy at Portobello. As well as the courtyard and seats upstairs, he's now joining forces with the folk at Spiritland and his own restaurant Pastaio, bringing them to the downstairs space. It'll actually be a development variant of Pastaio, which will act as something of an experimental kitchen for the group.

Spiritland at Joy will use produce from The Goods Shed and Joy and the menu will include:

  • Acton burrata and Autumn black truffle fried sandwich
  • Artichokes cooked a la romana with preserved lemon, honey and celery leaf
  • 30 yolk tagliolini, Linguine and clams.

The new space is all in conjunction with Spiritland, who are creating (and curating) a space for DJs, talks, live music and cabaret and it's designed "with a psychedelic lounge in mind". They've also teamed up with The House of Suntory for the cocktails which include Pink Pear Negroni, Espresso Martinez and a Quince Old Fashioned.
