Right now, we can't think of anything we'd like more than to perch up at the marble counter at Bentley’s Oyster Bar & Grill with a glass of fizz and oysters being shucked in front of us.
But, while we wait for that day to arrive, we can at least take advantage of chef/owner Richard Corrigan's new delivery service. Mr Oyster Boy, which launches this week, will bring a range of dishes from that restaurant (along with some specials from Daffodil Mulligan) to your door.
On the menu will be:
- 6/12 rock oysters with champagne mignonette
- Bentley’s classic shellfish cocktail and fish pie
- Cornish dressed crab with soda bread
- Half native lobster with salad ‘tartare’
- Peter Hannan’s Sugar Pit Pork
Dessert will change every week (like the restaurant's weekly tart) and they're kicking off with an impressive-sounding Japanese soufflé cheesecake with elderflower-poached peaches.
And that's not all. They're also doing brunch and picnic hampers along with individual items like Bentley's Irish treacle soda bread and Corrigan's rooftop smoked salmon.
