Over the past year and a bit, the Big Mamma restaurants Gloria and Circolo Poplare have become huge hits in London. But while it might be a little time before everyone packs into a restaurant like their massive Fitzrovia outpost, that doesn't mean that you can't have a little piece of Big Mamma to take home.
During lockdown, both restaurants are being turned into a mix of deli and pizzeria as a click-and-collect operation to start with (and delivery later).
First up is the ready (and almost-ready) food to pick up. They'll have antipasti that includes some of their famed dishes, including burrata with pesto heart, The Big Lasagna and Gnocchi cacio e pepe. They'll have cooked pizzas to take away and DIY pasta kits so you can make their Mafaldine al Tartufo at home.
And for dessert, most importantly you'll be able to take away their amazing tiramisu (as well as some XXL Cookies).
On top of that, there will be a produce section - where you'll be able to pick up various bits and pieces from their suppliers. So that includes Parma Ham by Stefano Borchini and Parmiggiano DOP 24 months from Caseificio Gennari, as well as their own olive oil, flour and yeast.
