It's a good week for Spanish food lovers in London. Two of the city's best Spanish restaurants are reopening for delivery. So if you can't get to Galicia or Extremadura, then at least you can enjoy the gorgeous food from that region in your home.
First up is José Pizarro who has opened a delivery and collection service from his restaurant Pizarro in Bermondsey. On offer, you'll find a range of classic tapas, including Galician empanada filled with lamb, boquerones with parsley & garlic and chorizo al vino, along with amazing wine and sherries. Personally we can't wait to have some of his gorgeous tortilla and a nice glass of Fino.
"It's really exciting, I can order my own food now." says José. "Mainly all you need is a bain-marie - the food comes in a vacuum pack. Or the (jamon) croquetas are ready-fried - you just have to put them in the oven." José and his partner Peter have even put together a lovely video of the shop and what you can order here.
Across town in Marylebone, Lurra has also reopened for delivery. "A small menu of Lurra classics are available for home delivery," they say, "as well as some vinous delights from our wine cellar."
So if you're after some amazing Galician Blond steak and a bottle of superb Ribera del Douro to go with it, this is the place for you. They're also doing collection at the restaurant on Seymour Place.
