What: 40 Zero
In a nutshell: All day cafe and bar for Camden folk
Summing it all up: Given a grime-style makeover, this former Strada now aims to serve everything from morning coffee to late night espresso martinis.
The low-down
It used to be occupied by squatters and was latterly a Strada, but as of this weekend 40 Parkway in Camden has been transformed into an all day cafe and bar. And whether you're after a smoothie and salad scene or a burgers and espresso martini vibe, the team behind it are hoping they'll have something to get you in the doors.
Breakfasts range from the full English through to a Garden Breakfast featuring double plancha egg, halloumi, grilled tomato, mushrooms, slow cooked greens, avocado and toast as well as a host of power bowls, cold-pressed juices and protein shakes. At lunch that switches to an all day menu of small plates, burgers and pizzas including:
- Fritto misto with chilli and aioli
- Halloumi burger with mojo verde
- Hari Lamb buger - four cheeses with spiced lamb and harissa
- Camden mess
In the evenings the cocktail list features CBD oil cocktails alongside signature Negronis and Grind Espresso Martinis - and they'll be putting on regular live music events too.
The place looks pretty amazing too - not surprising as they brought in big shot restaurant designer the Russell Sage studio to do the work. And it's that which actually gives you the clue to who's behind this. Turns out this is a new venture from restaurant chain Strada. The start of a roll out? Let's see.
