What: Farmer J London Bridge
In a nutshell: The wholesome food brand goes all-day
Summing it all up: Until now, Farmer J have concentrated on takeaway and wholesome, sustainable fast food. But for their latest place, they're opening an all-day restaurant, and they'll be using proper plates too...
The low-down
Farmer J have already opened a place in Leadenhall, where they specialise in takeaway and fast-food healthy dining. But now they're opening a fully fledged all-day restaurant on nearby King William Street - so clearly City folk like what they do. The plan is for a Mediterranean-inspired menu and they will be "respecting our fantastic produce, and cooking real food with sustainable, seasonal ingredients."
If you've been to the original, it'll be a similar affair in the daytime, with food served out on their "Fieldtrays" (think a more refined version of an airplane food tray). While in the evening, they'll be bringing out the cocktail list and food that includes:
- Green chermoula chicken skewers and Laffa bags - with a Chilli Plate dip
- Grilled lime leaf prawns
- Roast beef with tomato tartare
- Whole roasted celeriac
- Freekeh herb salad with goat’s yoghurt
- Roast beets with crème fraiche
They'll also have an "ultimate veggie burger" on hand and brunch adds a shakshuka to share, a Sunday spatchcock and "Banana French toast with tahini".
