Single dish Italian restaurant La Tagliata coming to The City

Single dish Italian restaurant La Tagliata coming to The CityFollowing in the footsteps of Hixter and Burger and Lobster, a new restaurant is coming to the City with its main focus on one dish.

La Tagliata is opening on Sandy's Row, just off Spitalfields, and will focus on a single main course. For the meat eaters there's the signature tagliata - "thinly sliced steak served with Parmesan, cherry tomatoes and rocket, served with rosemary roasted potatoes or patate del pastore (slowly cooked potatoes in garlic and stock)." And if you're after the vegetarian option, there will be baked Scamorza – "an Italian cheese similar to mozzarella".

Alongside this main, there will be a single starter of fresh, hand made pasta with a choice of three seasonal sauces and desserts will include panna cotta or tiramisu alongside a cheese board. Price-wise, it'll be one main course at £19, two courses for £24 and three courses at £29.

The restaurant is apparently designed to look like the rooms of an Italian villa, with each of the rooms seating 8-10 and being given a separate name - Pantry, Library, Dining Room, Cellar, Drawing Room, Study and Music Room. As they're all separate, every space can be reserved for private dining.

La Tagliata opens on 14 July at Sandy's Row, London E1 7HW. For more inforamtion, follow them on Twitter @TagliataLondon.
