Ping launches ping-pong restaurant in Earl's Court

Ping launches ping pong restaurant in Earl's CourtEvery now and again, while strolling through London, you'll come across people playing ping-pong outside. The tables seem to be littered throughout the city and have often led to the bizarre sight of watching people play ping-pong in the driving rain. Well, now someone's bringing it back indoors again.

Ping is from the people behind Bungalow 8 London and is combining the indoor tables with a pizzeria with pizzas by Bruno Elias of Pizza Italian Academy. The menu will feature pizzas like The Truffle (Fior di latte mozzarella, truffle sauce, roast potato and homemade sausage), The Ceviche (Focaccia base, labneh goats cheese, cod ceviche, passion fruit sauce and basil leaves) and The Pear (English blue cheese, walnuts and fresh caramelized pear).

Cocktails will include the The Chandler Ping – a watermelon martini embedded within frozen fruit and a Rhubarb Aperol Spritz. There will also be a £15 all you can eat pizza deal with a complimentary 'Slush Puppie' margarita every Monday. The place will also feature designs by I LOVE DUST, who are also behind famed the wall and ceiling art of Meat Liquor.

And, of course, there will be ping-pong tables, three in all, with various tournaments throughout the week. So if any of you who get into see the event at the Olympics  are inspired to take up the sport (over a few cocktails), you should get down to Earl's Court in August.

Ping opens in August at 180-184 Earls Court Road, London, SW5 9QG.
