Margot Italian restaurant from Paulo de Tarso and Nicolas Jaouën coming to Covent Garden

Margot

Many people knew Paulo De Tarso best as the masterly Maitre d’ looking after Bar Boulud at the Mandarin Oriental - one of our personal favourite restaurants in town. And now he's opening his own place, teaming up with Nicolas Jaouën, general manager of Mayfair’s La Petite Maison. So expectations on great service will be through the roof on this one.

The Head Chef will be Maurizio Morelli who used to be chef patron at Latium restaurant. Promised for the menu are tagliolini with crab meat and purple aubergine and risotto “alla Milanese” with saffron and roast bone marrow as well as cured meats, carpaccio and tartare dishes, salads, pasta options and a range of meat and fish main courses. And they're planning to let you choose the size of each course so you can tailor the menu to your liking.

The 100 seater restaurant is being designed by Fabled Studio, who have been behind Dinner By Heston, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay and Shotgun.

Margot restaurant opens in Covent Garden in Summer 2016 at 45 Great Queen St, London WC2B 5AA. Find out more from them on Twitter @MargotLDN
