Gordon Ramsay heads up US search for Masterchef

Move over pudding face! Gregg Wallace and John Torode clearly don't have enough pulling power across the pond because the producers of the US version of British show Masterchef have turned to Gordon Ramsay to head up the American search for culinary talent.

Hopefuls, who consider themselves something of a whizz in the kitchen, are being told to turn up at 12 casting sessions across the States over the month of January.

According to the production blurb, this new 'inspirational cooking show' is looking for 'budding chefs from all walks of life'.

We particularly liked the questions on the application form including these three: 'Tell us about the moment you fell in love with food?' and 'Describe your feelings about Chef Gordon Ramsay' and 'Have you ever hit anyone in anger or self-defence?' Sounds like a must for Sky Plus.
