Cook for Syria are opening a popup cafe in Covent Garden for Christmas

If you want to eat well and do something for others this Christmas - then head straight to Covent Garden where Cook for Syria is launching a popup cafe and takeaway in the heart of Seven Dials - open from this weekend until Christmas Eve. The popup cafe, on the middle of Monmouth St, will serve mezze dishes by the Syrian chef Imad Alarnab, from the much-loved Imad’s Syrian Kitchen popup: he’ll be making delicious plates of hummus and labneh and babaghanoush which you can scoop up inside fluffy flatbreads, along with a range of salads like tabbouleh and fattoush.

For dessert, there will be delicious baked treats by Lily Vanilli and some surprise guest bakers who took part in this year’s sell-out Bake For Syria events. You can also pick up the Cook for Syria cookbook to solve all those last minute Xmas present issues.

The cafe, in a space generously supported by the Shaftesbury real estate investment trust, will be open daily - see times below. All proceeds from the CookForSyria cookbook, baked goods, and a donation from each Imad’s Syrian Kitchen dish will go to Unicef UK’s appeal for the children of Syria. You can also make an extra donation for those children who urgently need protection this winter.
