Boundary Rooftop to reopen in Spring as year-round bar and grill

rooftop boundary shoreditchIt was one of the first proper rooftop places to eat and drink when Shoreditch took off, now the Boundary Rooftop bar and grill is going to have a fresh look when it reopens in early Spring 2013.

The new-look rooftop will have a new weatherproof area, new garden and new menus. And when it reopens in Spring it'll be open for breakfast, lunch and supper (with a late bar) seven days per week – all year round.

It looks like it's all change at the Boundary with the arrival of a new chef, Frederick Foster. Last year he won the prestigious Craft Guild National Chef of the Year and was a former Roux Scholarship winner. He's worked at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, Le Gavroche, and done stints with Pierre Gagnaire and Thomas Keller and was previously Head Chef at swanky Barbados celeb haunt The Sandy Lane Hotel.

Frederick's new menu starts from today and features a cracking Prix Fixe Menu with two courses for £19.50 (three courses £24.50) starting with Beetroot Salad and Chariot de Charcuterie, followed by Cod Cassoulet and Lamb Navarin and ends with Ice Cream or Sorbet or Lemon Tart.

The Boundary Rooftop will remain open until Sunday 30 September 2012.
