Boundary reopens on Twelfth Night with Epiphany dinner

galetteJanuary's always such a miserable month, so we applaud anyone who tries to make the best of it. Our gold star for effort today goes to Shoreditch restaurant Boundary who are holding a special Twelfth Night dinner when they reopen after the Christmas holidays.

They'll be serving up a customary Galette de Rois - king or queen cake at the end of a special three course dinner on Friday 6th January 2012. "Following the tradition, our maître pâtissier will be placing a small trinket (something worthless like a one Euro coin) inside each cake," they say. "The one who finds the trinket will receive a special gift from the restaurant and can also choose his or her consort. Folklore also suggests that the king or queen should buy champagne all round, although, we won’t make this compulsory."

The Boundary Epiphany dinner, includes a chariot de charcuterie including terrines, rillettes and saucisson, rotisserie chicken and the Galette du Rois and costs £30 per person, although you're also welcome to order from their full new à la carte menu as well.

To book, call 020 7729 1051 or book online at www.theboundary.co.uk/restaurant
