For a true carnivore's feast, this Valentine's opt for Jose's 30-day dry-aged ‘Txuleton’ steak which comes with triple-cooked chips, bitter leaf salad and confit piquillo peppers along with red cabbage in vermouth. For dessert, it's chocolate all the way with a chocolate ganache served with Maldon salt and olive oil shortbread. (£95 for two)

Michel Roux Jr's Valentine's Dinner a Deux
For his Dishpatch box, the Le Gavroche owner and chef has a Beef Wellington as the centrepiece, with a Champagne and saffron soup and poached scallop to start along with a Balvenie whisky chocolate tart for dessert which comes with vanilla Chantilly Cream. The box also contains sourdough and butter and a selection of sides. (£120 for two)

Valentine's Cassoulet supper by St John
As you might expect from St John this is a nose-to-tail affair cassoulet featuring confit duck leg, Toulouse sausage, bacon, ham, trotter & flageolet beans. It comes with an enamel dish to cook it in perfectly. Dessert is a boozy option of chocolate mousse with boozy prunes and miniatures of Fergus’ favourite eau de vie, Vieille Prune. (£85 for two)

Build your own profiterole heart from Proof
Dalston bakery Proof has the perfect DIY gift to knock up on Valentine's Day. Balls of choux are sent out ready to be filled with whipped creme Chantilly and then your sauce is prepared for you to just warm and pour over. You also get some honeycomb to sprinkle over and mini white chocolate heart sprinkles. If you're in London and aren't up to assembling your own, they also send them out ready-built. (£25)

No borders love confectionary box from Jikoni
Spreading love is the message from Ravinder Bhogal's restaurant Jikoni. This year she's made a box of globally-inspired Indian mithai sweets. The idea is to celebrate all kinds of love; romance, friendship, care and craft, freedom and community. There are eight sweets in all - pairs of White Chocolate and Saffron Pedha, Burnt Honey, Rosemary and Pistachio Barfi, Baobab and Tajin Ladoo and finally Salted Tahini and Date Chocolates. (£45).

Honey & Co's cardamom cream and raspberry babka
Co-owner Sarit is behind this dreamy Valentine's treat which can either be delivered or picked up at their Honey & Spice shop on Warren Street. Plaited with cardamom cream & raspberry jam, the babka is topped with rose petals and packed in a cake tin that's perfect for reusing. (£35)
