Eating and drinking in London over the May bank holiday weekend

The late May bank holiday is our last one for a while, so you need to make the most of your extended weekend. Luckily we've rounded up the best food and drinks things going on in London for the Whitsun weekend so you can do just that.

All weekend

youngs burgers

Young's pubs are tempting fate with their Big Sizzle Weekend. Their pubs' alfresco burger shacks are putting on a special bank holiday menu with beer from Two Tribes. Groups of six can book a Burger Shack Slider Sharer with mini burgers, sides and a bucket of beers.

Night Tales in Hackney has taken over Bohemia Place for the summer. Their palm filled street - East London’s largest outdoor terrace - has a 16m outdoor bar and summer cocktails include frozen margaritas, frozen pina coladas and ice-cold craft beers.

Heaps + Stacks will be popping up at Love Blooms in Hackney for ’The Picnic Project’ where Londoners can rent everything they need to create the most insta-perfect picnic. They'll even supply food (by Pique) if you want it and all funds raised will go towards The Young Women’s Trust.

Saturday and Sunday

crudo lemonade stand

Crudo Cevicheria by Old Street will be running a popup Lemonade Stand cocktail bar offering three drinks - a classic Margarita, Pisco Sour or a Papelón y limón con ron (rum and sugar cane). It's sheltered and heated and you could always order some ceviche while you're there...
