Humble Crumble is a dessert shop that serves exactly what you think - various pots of steamed fruit covered with crumble and done extremely well. Since originally starting as a pop-up, they've been hugely popular and now have stalls in Camden and Borough as well as a Spitalfields shop. And now they're coming to central London.
They're opening in Seven Dials near Covent Garden, so if you're in the need of a proper dessert either when shopping or pre/post theatre, this is the place to keep in mind. Like their other places, there will be a choice of apple, elderflower (including apple, strawberry and raspberry) or rhubarb fillings. Once you've chosen those, your options for toppings include the classic crumble (of course) finished with either blowtorched marshmallow (Instagram's favourite), hot, cold or frozen custard, dark chocolate and more.
There are vegan and gluten-free options, as well as seasonal specials (it's a tropical crumble with pineapple & mango right now). You can even get a pot of the crumble topping if that's all you really fancy.
If you've seen them on Instagram and fancied trying a pot of crumble yourself, then this is the place to bear in mind.
