Boxpark are taking over Buck Street Market in Camden

Boxpark is taking over Buck Street Market in Camden

6/9/24 - updated with more opening details

Buck Street Market is a huge container village in Camden which has about 40 shops and restaurants contained within its mini maze of containers. However, it hasn't really had the same success as similar venues like Boxpark have seen. Now that's likely to change as Boxpark themselves are the new owners of the site.

This will make it the fourth Boxpark in London (not including their Boxhall venue that's coming to the City). Given the high profile of all the Boxparks, particularly around sporting events, we can assume this will make for a pretty big change in Buck Street Market's fortunes.

As part of the changes, they've put in a new floor, a new paint job and there will be a new roof by the end of the year. It will relaunch with 50 food and "retail" spaces, two bars and hopefully a rooftop terrace (although that's still to be approved). Opening there will be Yorkshire Burrito, Black Bear Burger and Chipsy while huge croissant makers Philippe Conticini will be making their return to Camden.

It'll now be open seven days a week - and until 11.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays. As yet, there's no news if they'll be showing sporting events like some of their other sites, so we'll have top wait and see on that front.
