Updated 10/5/24 with soft launch info
Friday nights in Camden are kicking off. Starting this summer Cafe KOKO - the Italian eatery attached to the iconic music venue - is having a series of face-offs between pizza and tacos. The menu, created by the restaurant's Executive Chef Andreas Engberg (La Petite Maison, The Arts Club) sounds great, but we're particularly interested in the limited edition slices and tacos by DJs, musicians and head chefs that will go into competition with each other.
The first duo heading off at the restaurant will be singer/songwriter and top producer SG Lewis and TikTok and Instagram star What Willy Cook. Lewis has come up with The FOREVERDAYSS pizza slice (pepperoni, hot honey, burrata, parmesan, red onion) which will compete against Will's Forbidden Surf And Turf taco (shredded chicken, crushed scampi fries).
Along with the specials, the menus on Friday at Don Koko will include special slices and tacos like the Higher Power (Calabrian chilli, wood roasted peppers, mozzarella) and Habanero chicken tacos (melted cheese, guacamole, coriander). The drinks list takes a similarly fusion direction with Hibiscus Mezcal Negronis and Bellini De Mexico on offer.
