La Maison Ani brings French dining from the people behind Gaia to Knightsbridge

The group behind Gaia in Mayfair are opening something new in London, bringing  La Maison Ani to The Carlton Tower Jumeirah in Knightsbridge.

Taking over the space that was the Italian restaurant Al Mare, this time they've gone French (with some Med flavours thrown in too). It's actually the second La Maison Ani, as they launched one in Dubai last year. It's named after the chef in charge, Izu Ani, a chef who was born in London, but made his name with a series of restaurants over in Dubai.

Here, it's an all-day affair, featuring everything from classic croque monsieurs and French onion soup to:

  • Beef carpaccio with parmesan cheese and truffle dressing
  • Roasted fillet of seabass in tomato sauce with sumac rice
  • Whole baby chicken in Perigueux sauce with seasonal truffle

As for the space, that's had a complete redesign and they've still got the terrace that overlooks the gardens at the back of the hotel which will be a nice spot to be during the summer.
