As we've previously written about, karaoke has become a big thing in London, with some places offering pretty great food to accompany the backdrop of occasionally on-tune warbling. Now here comes a new karaoke bar which has a strong focus on food, BAM Karaoke Box (that stands for Boîte à Musique).
Coming from Paris, it's pitched as a decidedly more luxe version of karaoke, taking over a pretty huge 10,000 sq ft space in Victoria (where M Restaurant used to be), featuring 22 private karaoke rooms, along with a bar and terrace.
And for the food, they've teamed up with chef Sabrina Gidda, previously at The Dorchester and Bernardi's, who's joined them as their Consultant Culinary Director. Her menu will have a Parisian influence with dishes including:
- Devilled eggs gribiche with crispy parsley
- Maldon cure salmon rillettes with pickled cucumbers & crostini
- Mini Croque Monsieurs with fennel salami and reuben sauce
- Merguez sausage hot dog with yogurt aioli and herbs
That's all backed up by drinks that include punchbowls for sharing, if you've come in a big group. So if you're looking for something a little more high-end from your karaoke nights, this should be worth a look.
